Workshop 3: Practical tips & tricks on a shoestring

This workshop has been put together by U-merge (Urology in emerging countries) which makes it its goal to bring expertise and experts from developed and developing countries together and foster scientific exchange. The workshop focusses on practical economic “home-made” solutions for stone surgeons who want to develop their skills further. U-merge has invited eminent stone experts from Algeria, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to present in three short talks various aspects of practical training in the developing world. This will be followed by “hands-on” training in URS and PCNL using “home-made” model solutions which you may want to reproduce at home to enhance your skills or those of your trainees. Numbers are limited to ensure every participant can have a chance to go “hands-on”. This is also your chance to get up close to the experts and have a one-to-one dialogue.

Practical Stone solutions

A group of producers of stone treatment solutions have come together to bring to you the latest technologies in free-line ultrasound guidance systems for SWL, irrigation during URS, micro-PCNL, and disposable flexible URS. International renown experts will present those technologies in the context of clinical applications in four small talks, followed by practical demonstrations and Hands-on experience on our workstations.  Method & Terms of payment:

Payments could be made through the on line by Credit Card (MASTER, VISA). Online payments will be processed through the secure payment page of the Conference online system. All payment will be made in USD ($), without charges for the beneficiary. Confirmation of registration and the respective invoice is sent upon on line application. 

Confirmation of participation:
As soon as the appropriate fees have been received, participants will receive a confirmation letter of the relevant bookings. Participants are kindly requested to present their registration ticket upon check-in at the Registration Desk on site.

Cancellation policy:
For every written cancellation received:

Until December 31st, 2016: a handling fee of 50 USD will be charged
January 1st - February 3rd, 2017: 50% cancellation fees apply
From February 4th, 2017 onwards: 100% cancellation fees apply

Cancellation of registration should be sent in writing to the Conference Organizing Bureau. All refunds will be made after the end of the Conference. Bank charges will be deducted.

Badges and identification
Registration badges will be used during the Conference. Participants will receive their badges upon their check-in at the Registrations Desk during the Meeting. For identification purposes and admission to session halls, participants are requested to wear their badges at all times. Admission to Meeting areas will not be allowed without badge identification.

Letter of invitation
Participants that require an official Invitation Letter in order to attend the Conference may address the Conference Secretariat, specifying the necessary details. This service is provided only to assist participants who are required to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Meeting. It should not be considered as an official invitation covering fees or any other expenses. Please note that invitation letters are issued only for those participants who have completed the registration process (paid registration fees)

Currency
All Meeting fees are calculated in USD ($). Participants from countries where currency restrictions prevent them from sending registration fees in advance are kindly requested to inform the Conference Secretariat, in order to avoid being charged the late registration fee.
